Schulte Anderson has been a fixture in Portland’s legal community for nearly a century. During this time it has also contributed time and resources toward the city and state’s greater community. Oregon is a place of great natural beauty and a high, healthy standard of living. Those of us at Schulte Anderson feel fortunate to live in such an incredible place, but we recognize that through community involvement we can make this great place even better

Below are a few of the activities our firm and its members participate in.

Schulte Anderson has provided financial contributions to United Way, the Oregon Legal Foundation, Oregon Food Bank (through Lawyers Against Hunger), and is a top contributor to The Lawyer’s Campaign For Equal Justice, which provides legal services for the poor in Oregon.

Prior to working for Schulte Anderson Michael Fearl was a staff attorney at the Hillsboro office of St. Andrew Legal Clinic for nearly five years. He also serving as branch manager and supervising attorney for that office. St. Andrew provides representation in family law matters to people without the resources to hire counsel from the private bar. To be affordable to those litigants, the clinic charges a sliding scale fee based on the client's income and assets. St. Andrew also operates a Night Clinic program several evenings a month, in which prospective clients can get brief advice about family law issues for a nominal fee. Michael Fearl continue to participate in fundraising activities for the Clinic's activities, including its annual Walk for Justice in Portland.

Lee Aronson has volunteered for the Elder Law project. The Elder Law Project is a special project of Neighborhood Legal Services Association. It provides free legal assistance for older adults with the greatest economic and social need.

Simon Harding has been involved in his children's school, the Abernathy School, and volunteers maintaining an old forest service lookout called the Pechuck Lookout.

Thomas Bittner is involved at his church, St. Clare in Portland, and has been a Cub Scout Den leader for many years.
